Recovering from surgery

As a few of my friends have already found out by following my Tweets and talking with me, I am recovering from surgery. I had a septoplasty with functional endoscopic sinus surgery, an anterior ethmoldectomy. Basically, I had skull bone & sinus tissue removed though my nose. The bone was carved down and the holes enlarged. It hurts to drink water.

No more soft drinks, but I did have a Chicago Dog yesterday!

Last Saturday I had a strawberry meal replacement shake for breakfast, visited my Grandmother, and then went for a walk. I had lunch with my dad at K&W where I had the shrimp with a side of mushrooms, and for dessert I had cottage cheese with a slice of peach. I then went for another walk before going out for some Indian food with friends. I had the Lamb Vindaloo with Goan sauce and Chilli Nan. It was the best day I’ve had in a while.

This was also the day after my surgery, so if my doctor finds out, he's going to kill me . . .

Acutally, the food is fine on my diet. I also had leftovers after every meal that I took home. It's the walking 8 miles the day after a major surgery that I'm keeping from my doctor. He say's I'm the first person he's ever seen to awake fully aware after getting anesthesia though IV. Usually patients aren't even aware they've been operated on for a while.
